17 Days of Green, March 15

I’ve been waiting to wear this dress the whole darn series.

I found it one day, sent it to Sassymonkey and said, “Isn’t this a Jenna dress?” She responded affirmatively. The dress was back-ordered and I thought maybe it wouldn’t get to be in the series, but it came last week and, voila! I have a Super Very Jenna Dress. I originally intended to wear it to Pittsburgh’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities tomorrow, but the weather changed and I’ll be dressing a little warmer.

Other awesome green things include a trip to the library where three of us read while the older kid went to a fun after school class.

I’m not sure how/when I’ll post tomorrow, but we’ll see!

17 Days of Green, Day 11

I really kind of didn’t want to get dressed today.

It’s the Time Change meets Monday meets Rainy Day trifecta. I desperately wanted to leave my jammies on all day. I didn’t because of a) this series and b) a book is in at the library and I do not believe in going out in public in jammies. Oh, and c) My pajama pants are too long for my short self, which is fine in a house but not okay in the rain. No one wants soggy pajama pants.

This is one step above pajamas for me, as those jeans are almost as comfy as yoga pants. I braided my hair, twisted and pinned it up, and voila, my hair doesn’t look like crap either. And yes, I almost always have on a necklace, even on the most casual of days. Not always with the earrings, but they came in the mail today and I couldn’t help but put them on immediately. How adorable are they?

St. Patrick’s Day is on Sunday, and our house is getting excited. The adults are gearing up for Pittsburgh. The kids are going to get to do some fun things this week and weekend. More food than usual is planned. We’re listening to umpteen billion Irish songs on Spotify. I’m busy hunting through our bookshelves because I know we have at least three of these St. Patrick’s Day books. It’s just a fun week in our house!

Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? What do you do?
