We had a good week trying to fall back into our summer routine after a week away doing all of the things. Minus some sleeping in and some grumpypants wearing, we seemingly survived.

Girl Scout Cupcakes (Caramel deLites or Samoas) by Janssen at Everyday Reading. As soon as it cools off, I’m baking these because cupcakes.

On Grief: First You Have to Pick the Lemons, Then You Have to Cut an Onion by TheFiveFacets. I had the joy of featuring this post this week on BlogHer. This line got to me:
As inspiring as it is to think about turning lemons into sweet, thirst-quenching splendor, we must first pay homage to the work behind the beverage.
We must pick or purchase the lemons, wash away the dirt and grime, squeeze the juicy life out of them, then discard the seeds and thick outer layers.

Yet by Burgh Baby. I maybe narrow my eyes a little bit, but really, it’s good stuff.

We’re Not the Same by Casey at Life with Roozle. The same, but different. Yes.

Please Don’t Man Bash in Front of My Sons by Only-Mama. The only thing I’d add to this thought would be: my daughter. Just don’t man bash. Or people bash. Because humanity.
I’m hoping to bring this series back regularly. You know it takes a lot for me to commit to a series, so we’ll see!

Is…is that a stuffed uterus with fallopian tube?
Indeed! I got it from the NovaSure booth at BlogHer. I’ll be blogging about their awesomeness in the near future as an update to my procedure. But I went and told them how much I loved them and they put me on camera and gave me a uterus. heh
“Yet” is one of those posts that I will remember and think about for years. I love it so much. I love the Internet.
And your James in the Bubbles picture is my favorite.
I almost linked to two of her posts this week, because her other one about “there are only 24 hours in a day — how do you want to spend this one” was pure GENIUS-RY. She’s smart.
I hope to have more train pictures this week. I had the real camera out that first day too, and thus have a post about trains coming sometime soon.
See? You should’ve linked to the other post because I didn’t even know about it!
